Grounding mat
It can be used under your bare feet, or on a desk with your bare hands resting on it.
Ideal to be used as a mat under your computer keyboard and mouse, enabling you to be grounded as your hands or wrists rest on the mat while typing or using the mouse.
The mat is fairly soft and flexible so can also be used in bed as a cheaper alternative to a grounding sheet.
Some area of bare skin should touch the smooth upper surface of the mat in order for you to be grounded, although it will work to a lesser degree through thin fabric. Alternatively, it can be used together with our highly conductive grounding socks.
Measures 68cm x 25cm (27" x 10").
The conductive surface is carbon infused PU (Polyurethane), on a heavy duty natural rubber backing. It is vinyl/PVC free and is bonded without glue.
Comes complete with a 4.6m (15ft) connection cord, and your choice of Earth connection.

Large grounding mat
Measures 74cm x 32cm (29" x 12.5").
Conductive mat for earthing while sitting or standing, while at a desk, watching television, exercising, etc.
It can be used under your bare feet, or on a desk with your bare hands resting on it. e.g. Under your computer keyboard and mouse, enabling you to be grounded as your hands or wrists rest on the mat while typing or using the mouse.

Some area of bare skin should touch the smooth upper surface of the mat in order for you to be grounded, although it will work to a lesser degree through thin fabric. Alternatively, it can be used together with our highly conductive grounding socks.
We've sourced eco-friendly and non-toxic materials to produce a safe and premium quality grounding product.
The thin black top conductive layer (where your body makes contact) is made of PU (Polyurethane) leather. Leather look-alike items made with polyurethane (PU) are very consumer friendly and safe, unlike older PVC leathers. Our PU Leather is vinyl free, and phthalate free.
The thin black layer of PU leather is infused with conductive carbon. Carbon is the 2nd most abundant element in the human body after oxygen. The carbon is what conducts the Earth's energy.
The bottom, non-conductive layer is made of TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) closed cell foam. This is among the safest foam available. It is latex and PVC free. This is the same type of foam used in footwear, and in children's foam toys.
Comes complete with a 4.6m (15ft) connection cord, and your choice of Earth connection.

Quilted pad
It is also great for pets.
It measures 50cm x 71cm (20" x 28"). The pad has cotton/silver earthing fabric on one face, a non-slip material on the back, and a soft quilting material in between.
This product set includes everything you need for use: the quilted pad, a 6m (20ft) coiled cord, and your choice of Earth connection.
Washing and care instructions
It is good to wash your grounding product. It will not be harmed by washing, in fact it is beneficial. Washing strips body sweat and natural skin oils from the silver keeping it conductive.
DOs
Wash every week or two
Wash in a washing machine with warm water (40°C / 105°F)
Use a liquid laundry detergent (this detergent is our specific recommendation)
Line dry or dry in a dryer on low (up to 65°C / 150°F)
Can be ironed on a low heat if desired
DON'Ts
Don't wash with bleach
Don't wash with fabric softeners
Don't use whitening detergents, oxi-detergents
Don't use detergents with strong fragrances (either chemical or essential oil based)
Don't use dryer sheet fabric softeners
Don't dry clean
Bleach, lotions and oils can tarnish the silver rendering it non-conductive. Fabric softener builds up on the silver and will eventually ruin its conductive properties. Please also check/clean the detergent drawer of your washing machine for residues of other detergents, since many detergents (particularly powders) contain whitening agents which will harm the silver, even in small quantities.
It is advised to wait one hour to use the product after applying oils or lotions to the skin.

Auto seat pad
This is a 25cm x 25cm (10" x 10") mat, impregnated with conductive carbon.
It comes complete with a short connection cord with a crocodile clip that is designed to clip onto a metal part of a vehicle. In a car, this would typically be the frame under the seat (sometimes it may be necessary to file off a small area of paint to get a good electrical connection to the metal).
Use of this mat in a vehicle is somewhat different to earthing in a building where you are connecting to the actual Earth. In a vehicle you are simply connecting to the mass of the vehicle, and thus preventing any build up of differential charge between your body and the vehicle body. Studies have shown this can help with travel sickness and driving fatigue.
Since the function is only to prevent build up of static charge, it is sufficient to contact the mat through clothing – as opposed to regular earthing which works better when there is bare skin contact.
Connection options
For general information about connecting to Earth, see the section
How to be Grounded on our About Grounding page.

Connection for North America
The supplied cord fits directly into the 'Ground' pin of a North American type socket, used in Canada, the United States and Mexico. It can also be used in Central America, the Caribbean, northern South America (Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela and parts of Brazil), Japan and Taiwan.
Since it is not uncommon for sockets of this type to be missing an Earth connection, this connection option includes a socket tester to verify correct socket wiring. You only need 1 tester per household, so you can choose the "without connection plug" option if you order additional products.
Note that not all outlet sockets of this type have a 3rd pin for Ground. Sockets with only 2 pins cannot be used for grounding, and so a grounding rod must be used instead.
Worldwide adapter set
The worldwide adapter set is suitable for use in most countries around the world. It covers the following socket types:
UK: Bahrain, Bangladesh, Botswana, Brunei, Cyprus, Ghana, Gibraltar, Hong Kong, Iraq, Ireland, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Macau, Malawi, Malaysia, Malta, Mauritius, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, UAE, Uganda, United Kingdom, Yemen, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
US: United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, northern South America (Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela and parts of Brazil), Japan and Taiwan.

Switzerland, Italy, Brazil and USA.
If you have any doubt about whether your mains system is properly earthed, and especially when travelling, we advise using a socket tester to check. The Socket tester (Europe) can be used with this adapter set to test any socket.
Grounding rod kit
If you don't have a properly earthed mains outlet (for example some European houses or a pre-1960s house in the United States), then you can instead use a grounding rod kit to make a connection directly with the ground outside.
The kit consists of a 0.3m (1ft) stainless steel rod with a 12m (40ft) cord. The rod is pushed into the ground outside, which makes a good electrical connection to the Earth. The cord is only 2mm in diameter so it can usually be run through the edge of a window frame with the window closed.
